Prepare for a practical ERP implementation
Map real workflows, clean master data and plan testing before an ERP system is configured.
Document how work happens today
Map the key steps, users, records and handoffs for sales, purchasing, stock, invoicing and reporting. Note where teams use workarounds and why.
Separate needs from preferences
Describe the outcome each requirement supports. This helps distinguish an essential control from a familiar screen or habit and makes a fit-gap review more useful.
Prepare and validate data
Identify the records to migrate, owners of each dataset and rules for duplicates or missing information. Plan sample imports and reconciliation before the full transition.
Test with real roles and cases
User acceptance testing should cover routine cases, exceptions and reporting. Give users enough time to check the workflows they will operate.
Plan training and go-live support
Agree training materials, launch responsibilities, issue escalation and the point at which the previous process is retired. Licensing, hosting, localization and professional accounting responsibilities should be explicit.
